Our firm began over 40 years ago from very humble beginnings. It was started by our Senior Partner George Oraro SC, who was then a young lawyer himself with very little resources. It is a journey of hard work and a fierce determination that has brought our firm to where it is today. It is from this background that we particularly value our younger lawyers and seek to mentor them through our pupillage programme.
In the program which runs for one (1) year from January to December we take several pupils who are required to attend the programme on a full-time basis at our offices. During the programme the pupils have an opportunity to work in rotation through our firm’s corporate & commercial, dispute resolution, real estate departments. This is in order to receive comprehensive training and experience in the various practice areas.
We have a strong work ethic and also live by the mantra, “people first”, which means all our clients and employees are valuable to us and are significant parts of our firm’s practice. We have high standards for our pupillage candidates, standards we also set for ourselves too, which is why we value honesty, learning and excellence.
To be considered for the programme you must be eligible and are currently in the course of completing the one year mandatory Advocates Training Programme at the Kenya School of Law, at the time of interview. Interviews for pupillage take place in August each year.
