  • Advisor to a Pan-African financial institution with offices in several African countries, in the acquisition of a property. Tasks included conducting major due diligence on corporate and land matters, advising the client on instructions to other external consultants, drafting a confidentiality agreement, drafting offers and all transactional documentation, obtaining approvals from various government bodies and ensuring that the client is fully protected throughout the transaction, up to conclusion
  • Advisor to a major international NGO with offices globally in the acquisition of a property for USD15 million (KES 1.5 billion).   • Acted for Cytonn in the acquisition of a ten (10) acre piece of land in Ridgeways, Kiambu (a suburb approximately 10 km away from the Nairobi CBD) which included negotiation of the sale contracts and transfer of the project that may have seven hundred (700) units. We are also acting in the sale of the individual units on an off-plan basis in the development of a gated estate known as “The Ridge”
  • Currently acting for Cytonn in the sale of 10 high-end five bedroom villas in a gated estate known as Amara Ridge in Karen, a suburb approximately 20 km away from the Nairobi CBD
  • Involved in a securities transaction by the sole provider of landline phone services in Kenya for getting a facility of a value of KES 1 billion (USD 10 million) from one of the largest commercial banks in Kenya
  • Part of a team that advised a client on its proposed teaming arrangement with a multinational corporation for the implementation of a major security project for an international organisation operating in South Sudan
  • Part of a team that advised a leading investment bank in a proposed takeover of a major international player in the machinery industry in Kenya
