Yvette started her career with the firm in 2015, as a pupil. A graduate of the well recognized University of Nairobi; she has experience working with clients in the banking, hospitality, insurance, media, real estate and telecommunications industries.

  • Part of the team that acted as local counsel in the acquisition of The Real IPM Kenya Limited (“Real IPM”) by Biobest N.V
  • Currently finalising on an extensive litigation audit for KCB Bank Kenya Ltd where we have reviewed approximately one hundred and seventy four (174) “legacy” cases
  • Part of the team that advised and prepared documents for the acquisition of paint manufacturing group of companies in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania
  • Conducted an independent legal audit of about seven hundred (700) cases for a leading sugar processing company. This involved a physical review of the files in respect of all seven hundred (700) cases with a view of establishing the nature of the cases, the exposure they posed to the company and if so, the monetary value of the claim or liability
  • Legal advisor on the government-to-government collaboration between Kenyan Government  and China National Petroleum Corporation (a state corporation based in China) in a proposed project to develop up to 350 MW of geothermal power
  • Part of the team that is currently advising a lender in regard to an annuity term loan facility to facilitate the 75% direct cost of road construction of the Ngong-Kiserian-Isinya Road and Kajiado-Imaroro Road. These are the first road construction projects that are to be undertaken under the new Road Annuity Regulations
  • Part of a team that gave a legal opinion and advice to a leading Kenyan Investment Company which was offering cash management schemes by reviewing an Investment Management Agreement, a Partnership Deed and a Custody and Trustee Services Proposal
  • Assisted in providing advice to an international company in a proposed development including drafting and reviewing of a joint venture agreement, a framework agreement and a development agreement
  • Part of the team that gave advice to an international company on the process of corporate debt recovery in Kenya by a foreign company
  • Part of a team that provided the strategic investors of a bank (the Bank) with advice on the legal options or recourse that they may have under contract or in tort against and auditing firm that provided them with an opinion on the viability of the Bank which had a run on it causing it  to be placed under receivership by the Central Bank of Kenya
