BACKGROUND

Natalie is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Department with experience handling commercial issues. She has represented and advised local and international clients in general contractual disputes, employment and labour disputes, land disputes, insurance law, data protection law, product liability disputes, arbitration, mediation, constitutional law.

 

Natalie holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University of Nairobi and a post-graduate diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.

EXPERIENCE

 

  • Part of the team that represented a leading financial institution in a Constitutional Petition filed by a person claiming breach of privacy for unauthorized disclosure of banking and confidential information.
  • Part of the team that successfully represented a non-profit corporation registered in the State of Texas in the United States of America in a claim for recovery of land and monies advanced for charitable purposes of setting up an orphanage in Kakamega, which was at risk of alienation and misappropriation.
  • Part of the team that represented an insurance company in a Constitutional Petition arising from an award of tender valued at KES. 8.6 Billion inviting the public to provide medical coverage to members of the National Police Service and Kenya Prisons Service.
  • Part of the team that conducted a data protection compliance audit of the operations of a major petroleum product distributor. The aim of this audit exercise was to align the company’s operations with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and subsidiary legislation.
