Anne Cheloti is an Associate at Oraro & Company Advocates in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She specialises in corporate & commercial law, insolvency, construction law, arbitration & dispute resolution.
Anne holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Strathmore University and a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
EXPERIENCE
- Part of the Team that successfully represented a leading insurance firm in an arbitration involving a technology related contractual dispute.
- Part of the Team that successfully placed a major cereal company in Kenya under receivership over a debt amounting to Kshs. 4.9 billion.
- Part of the Team that placed one of the country’s largest truck and bus body builders under administration for the recovery of a debt amounting to Kshs. 1.1 billion.
- Part of the Team that represented a leading oil refineries company in an employment dispute.
- Part of the Team that handled a constitutional petition challenging the powers of the Judicial Service Commission to entertain petitions relating to decisional independence.
- Part of the Team handling a constitutional petition on behalf of a key player in the mining industry challenging the constitutionality and applicability of free carried interest in Kenya.
- Part of the Team that advises a Japanese Electrical Equipment Company in a construction development project.
- Contributed to and co-authored the Chambers Insolvency Guide 2025: Law and Practice – Kenya Chapter, and Trends and Developments – Kenya Chapter.
