BACKGROUND
Stacie is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She specialises in banking & financial services; bankruptcy & corporate insolvency; employment & labour relations and alternative dispute resolution.
Stacie holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Strathmore University Law School and a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGDip) in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
EXPERIENCE
- Part of the Team representing a leading telecommunications service provider in an appeal surrounding the recovery of land which it was arbitrarily deprived of.
- Part of the Team advising the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation on the management of two leading banks currently in receivership.
- Part of the Team representing the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation in suits for, among others, the recovery of sums fraudulently acquired from two leading banks, consequent to which the said banks were rendered insolvent.
- Part of the Team representing the Central Bank of Kenya in a matter involving various claims for recovery of deposits held at a Bank currently in liquidation.
- Part of the Team representing the Kenya Commercial Bank in a matter involving the exercise of its statutory power of sale over the assets of an establishment which is indebted to it.
- Part of the Team representing and giving advisory work to the Kenya Commercial Bank on matters employment and labour relations.
